Synopsis:

The journey of black currants, the "black gold" of Greece, from yesterday until today. The documentary leads us, through the preparation of an exhibition on raisins, to get to know the importance of this product for the local community of Aigio and the rest of Greece, its history and the people who live and work with it.

Director's/Biography Biography:

Panagiotis Kakavias studied Film and Television Directing at the Greek Film and Television School "Stavrakos", where he received the first prize during the school film festival for the short film Flight in 1982. He is the director of many short films and documentaries, such as: Dating, Bending, Grey-Gray, Mills Through Time, The Element, AIDS and Prevention, Drugs and more.

Panagiotis Kakavias studied Film and Television direction at the Hellenic Cinema and Television School Stavrakos where he received the first prize during the school film festival for his short film Escape, in 1982. He is the director of numerous short films and documentaries.
