Synopsis:

An atmospheric short animation inspired by rebetiko. Kostas spends his evening in a musical venue, as usual, listening to the sad music with his friends. Suddenly, he finds a beautiful woman in another room. Kostas begins to dream of her.

An atmospheric short animation inspired by rebetiko music. Kostas is spending his evening in a music venue as usual listening to sad music together with his friends. Suddenly he spots a beautiful woman in a secondary room of the joint. Kostas starts daydreaming of her.

Director's Biography/Director's Short Bio:

Thomas Kunstler was born in 1991 in Rome. He is an Italian filmmaker who now lives and works in Athens. He received his bachelor's degree in Film Production in 2015, specialising in Directing and Documentary Production, from the University of Creative Arts in England. His works have been screened in many festivals, such as: Animasyros Film Festival (Syros), Herceg Novi Film Festival (Montenegro), Drama Film Festival (Drama), Aesthetica Short Film Festival (England) and RTS Student Television Awards (ENGLAND). He has been involved in stop motion since he was 14 years old and since 2015 he has directed two short animations rebetiko and you don't say a word, which have been inserted in over 150 countries. His latest work deals with Greek music and culture. Now, he is working on the film Markos, a stop motion animation feature dedicated to the life of Markos Vamvakaris.

Thomas has been involved with stop motion animation since the age of fourteen, and since 2015 he has produced and directed two stop motion short films Rebetiko and De Les Kouventa (You Don’t Say a Word) which have been embedded in more than 150 countries. His latest work deals with Greek music and culture. He is currently working on Markos: a stop motion animation feature film about the life of the Rembetiko musician Markos Vamvakaris.
