Περίληψη/Synopsis:
Ασθενείς που νοσηλεύονται, μετά από σοβαρά ατυχήματα, στην κλινική Φυσικής Αποκατάστασης του ΚΑΤ, προσπαθούν να σταθούν ξανά στα πόδια τους... ή έστω να επανακτήσουν την αυτονομία τους. Ακολουθώντας την αγωνιώδη πάλη τους, η ταινία ερευνά ένα από τα βασικά διλήμματα της ανθρώπινης ύπαρξης: ελπίδα ή αποδοχή.
After serious accidents that turned their lives upside down, patients of the rehabilitation department of an Athenian trauma hospital struggle to walk again… or at least return to independent living. Torn between hope and acceptance, they offer us a glimpse into depths of the human condition.
Βιογραφικό Σκηνοθέτη/Biography:
Ο Marco Gastine είναι σκηνοθέτης και παραγωγός. Γεννήθηκε στο Παρίσι. Ζει και εργάζεται στην Ελλάδα από το 1978. Σπούδασε Αρχιτεκτονική στο Παρίσι και Σκηνοθεσία στην Αθήνα. Το 2003 ίδρυσε τη δική του εταιρία παραγωγής, Minimal Films, που ανέλαβε την παραγωγή όλων σχεδόν των ταινιών του από τότε και μερικών από τις ταινίες των πιο ταλαντούχων Ελλήνων ντοκιμαντερίστων καθώς και συμπαραγωγές με το εξωτερικό. Διδάσκει ντοκιμαντέρ σε διεθνή σεμινάρια (MFI, StoryDoc) και παραγωγή στη Σχολή Σταυράκου. Είναι ιδρυτής και μέλος του ΔΣ της Ένωσης Ελληνικού Ντοκιμαντέρ.
Marco Gastine is a Director and Producer. He was born in Paris. He lives and works in Greece since 1978. He studied Architecture in Paris and Directing in Athens. In 2003 he founded his own production company, Minimal Films, which undertook the production of almost all of his films since then, and some of the films of the most talented Greek documentary directors, as well as co-productions abroad. He teaches Documentary at international seminars (MFI, StoryDoc) and Production at the Stavrakos School. He is the founder and member of the Board of the Hellenic Documentary Association.
