Ο Jerry Hoffmann γεννήθηκε το 1989 στο Αμβούργο. Έκανε το ντεμπούτο του στην ηλικία των 18 με την ταινία Shahada. Η ταινία έκανε την παγκόσμια πρεμιέρα της στο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου του Βερολίνου το 2010 και κέρδισε βραβεία τόσο στη Γερμανία όσο και σε διάφορα φεστιβάλ κινηματογράφου στο εξωτερικό. Ξεκίνησε δραματικές σπουδές το 2009 στη Σχολή Παραστατικών Τεχνών Otto Falckenberg στο Μόναχο και συνέχισε στο Πανεπιστήμιο Τεχνών του Βερολίνου. Το 2013 επιλέχθηκε ως ταλέντο στο Berlinale Talents. Το 2019 επιλέχθηκε ως μέλος της κριτικής επιτροπής για τις Γερμανικές Ταινίες στο φεστιβάλ του Βερολίνου. Ο Hoffmann συμμετείχε στην ταινία δράσης του 20th Century Fox Hitman: Agent 47. Jerry Hoffmann was born 1989 in Hamburg. He made his début at the age of 18 in the film Shahada, in the major role of Samir. The film had its world première at the 2010 Berlin International Film Festival and won awards both in Germany and at various film festivals abroad. He began drama studies in 2009 at the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts in Munich and continued at the Berlin University of the Arts. Before completing his training he had been seen in a number of stage and screen productions. In 2013 he was selected as a talent at the Berlinale Talents. In 2019 he was selected at a member of the jury for the German Films at the Berlin Filmfestival. Hoffmann has a part in the 20th Century Fox action film Hitman: Agent 47. In 2015 Hoffmann was awarded with a fulbright scholarship and moved to the US to study filmproduction at the Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
