Synopsis:
Twelve-year-old Binti dreams of becoming a famous vlogger like her idol, Tatyana. But when the police attack her home and try to deport her and her dad, they are forced to leave. Binti meets Elias and they become friends. While Binti helps Elias take videos, she devises the perfect plan: her dad must marry Elias' mom so they can stay in Belgium.

While Binti helps Elias to vlog about his 'save-the-okapi-club', she hatches the perfect plan: her dad has to marry Elias’s mom, so they can stay in Belgium.

Director's/Biography Biography:
Frederike Migom is a director, writer and actress. After studying acting and working in New York, he moved to Paris to study film by working on various projects in Paris and abroad. In 2011 she arrived in Brussels, her current base, where she worked as an assistant producer, before directing her first short film, Malakim, in 2013. This was followed by Adam & Everything (2014) and Nkosi Coiffure (2015). The latter has been screened at many festivals such as Tribeca and BFI winning awards in Valladolid, Washington and Brussels among others. Frederike directed the documentary Si-G, which was screened at festivals around the world. Binti is her debut.
