Homeland is childhood says Roland Barthes and takes us to where memories build the first "place". It is through these memories that the primary homeland of each one is constructed. Recalling childhood memories we perform a peculiar patriotism of the first and fundamental homeland of our being.

Eugenia-Grammenou - 9 chania film festival

Eugenia Grammenou

Eugenia Grammenou is an interdisciplinary artist who moves through a wide range of activities, from drawing, instalation, video art, performances and writing. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He completed the MastersDegree Course at the Cultural Management MSc, specializing in the social role of the museum. She is a PhD candidate at the School of Dramatic School of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Her work has been presented in solo and many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.

Human nature and internal contradictions, the depictions of the human condition, identity, time, personal and common memory are issues that concern it and it explores through drawings, videos, instalations, representation and writing.
