Περίληψη/Synopsis:
Εραστής του φωτός είναι το όνομα που έδωσαν οι άνθρωποι στον λωτό γιατί αντιλήφθηκαν τη συμπεριφορά του ως μορφή σεβασμού στον ήλιο. Η ταινία απεικονίζει το ταξίδι των φύλλων λωτού που γεννήθηκαν στη λίμνη, έπειτα την αλληλεπίδραση με τον άνθρωπο και, τελικά, τη μεταμόρφωση και την αναγέννηση με τη μορφή τσαγιού.
Lover of Light is the name people gave to the lotus for they perceived its behavior as a form of reverence to the sun. The movie portrays the voyage of the lotus leaves which are born in the lake, then interact with humans and, in the end, they are transformed and reborn in the form of tea.
Βιογραφικό Σκηνοθέτη/Biography:
Η Jo Kapralou γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα στις 28 Δεκεμβρίου 1992. Σπούδασε Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων στο AUEB και Σκηνοθεσία στη Σχολή Κινηματογράφου "Σταυράκος". Από το πρώτο έτος στη σχολή, εργάστηκε σε ταινίες μικρού και μεγάλου μήκους, όπως το The Son of Sofia και το Polyxeni, αλλά και για διαφημίσεις και βίντεο κλιπ. Ολοκλήρωσε ένα 10λεπτο ντοκιμαντέρ στην Κίνα, Lover of Light, μέσα από το project "Looking China", το οποίο ταξιδεύει σε φεστιβάλ. Επίσης, έχει εργαστεί ως βοηθός φωτογραφίας σε ταινίες μικρού μήκους και ως κινηματογραφίστρια σε διάφορα projects. Από τον Ιανουάριο του 2020 εργάζεται ως βοηθός casting για τη μεγάλου μήκους ταινία The Grandson, σε σκηνοθεσία Nely Reguera και παραγωγή της Homemade Films.
Jo Kapralou was born in Athens on December 28, 1992. She studied Business Administration and Management at AUEB and Directing at the Stavrakos Film School. From her first student year, she worked on short and feature films, such as The Son of Sofia and Polyxeni, but also on commercials and video clips. She completed a 10-minute documentary in China, Lover of Light, through the "Looking China Project", which is now traveling to festivals. She has also worked as an assistant of photography in short films, as well as a cinematographer in various short projects. Since January 2020 she has been working as a casting assistant for the feature film The Grandson, directed by Nely Reguera and produced by Homemade Films.
