Ο ετοιμοθάνατος Σερ Ισαάκ Νεύτων αφηγείται τα σημαντικότερα γεγονότα της ζωής του στον πιστό του φίλο Τζον Κόντιουιτ: το πολιτικό σκηνικό, η φυσική φιλοσοφία, η θρησκεία, οι εχθροί, οι απώλειες και οι νίκες που έθεσαν τα θεμέλια του μύθου του πιο επιφανούς φυσικού φιλοσόφου όλων των εποχών.
The dying Sir Isaac Newton narrates the most important events of his life to his faithful friend John Conduit: the political scene, the natural philosophy, the religion, the enemies, the losses and the victories that laid the foundations of the myth of the most eminent natural philosopher of all time.
Βιογραφικό Σκηνοθέτη/Biography:
Ο Πάνος Ανέστης είναι σκηνοθέτης και Υπ. Διδάκτωρ Κινηματογραφικών Σπουδών στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου. Aποφοίτησε με άριστα από το Τμήμα Ιστορίας και Φιλοσοφίας του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, σπουδάζοντας παράλληλα Κινηματογράφο στο New York College Athens. Μεταξύ άλλων, είναι ο δημιουργός της πρώτης ελληνικής τριλογίας Ιστορίας της Επιστήμης, παραγωγής Ιδρύματος Ευγενίδου: Κοπέρνικος, Μπράχε & Κέπλερ (2011), Γαλιλαίος: Η Μάχη στην Αυγή της Σύγχρονης Επιστήμης (2013) και Νεύτων: Η Δύναμη του Θεού (2016).
Panos Anestis is a filmmaker and PhD Candidate in Film Studies at University of the Aegean. He graduated with excellent grade from the Department of Philosophy & History of Science at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, parallel to studying Film & TV Studies at New York College of Athens. Among other films, he is the co-writer, director and co-producer of the first Greek trilogy of History of Science produced by the non-profit Eugenides Foundation: Copernicus, Brahe & Kepler: Three Great Astronomers (2011), Galileo: Fighting in the Dawn of Modern Science (2013) and Newton: The Force of God (2016).
