1978. On his birthday, Stavros had arranged to betrothed to Matoula. Instead, he was forced to set sail for his first trip.
2020. On his birthday, Stavros wanders around the city alone. This day he doesn't like to talk. It's the day he reminisces about the past and wonders what things would have been like if he had made different decisions

Stelios Moraitidis was born in Athens. He studied Cinema at the University of Paris 1 in the Sorbonne. In 2014 he directed his first short film entitled "Miracle", a film exhibition of life in Athens and participated in the competition section of the 6th Balkan Beyond Borders Festival. In 2016 he completed the documentary "Deconstructing Interruption", which presents the lives of the actors during the shooting of the film Interruption by Giorgos Zois, was screened at the 18th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. "Dakar" is his first fiction film, completed in 2020 and already holds a Special Mention award from the 43rd International Short Film Festival of Drama and screened at the 26th Athens International Film Festival.
