Ο Thomas Kunstler γεννήθηκε το 1991 στη Ρώμη. Είναι Ιταλός κινηματογραφιαστής που τώρα ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα. Πήρε το πτυχίο του στην Παραγωγή Ταινιών το 2015, με ειδίκευση τη Σκηνοθεσία και την Παραγωγή Ντοκιμαντέρ, από το Πανεπιστήμιο Δημιουργικών Τεχνών στην Αγγλία. Τα έργα του έχουν προβληθεί σε πολλά φεστιβάλ, όπως: Animasyros Film Festival (Σύρος), Herceg Novi Film Festival (Μαυροβούνιο), Drama Film Festival (Δράμα), Aesthetica Short Film Festival (Αγγλία) και RTS Student Television Awards (Αγγλία). Ασχολείται με το stop motion από τα 14 χρόνια του και από το 2015 έχει σκηνοθετήσει δύο animation μικρού μήκους Ρεμπέτικο και Δε λες κουβέντα, τα οποία έχουν εντεθεί σε πάνω από 150 χώρες. Η τελευταία του δουλειά ασχολείται με την ελληνική μουσική και κουλτούρα. Τώρα, δουλεύει πάνω στην ταινία Markos, ένα stop motion animation μεγάλου μήκους αφιερωμένο στη ζωή του Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη.

Thomas Kunstler was born in 1991 in Rome. He is an Italian filmmaker who currently lives and works in Athens. He received his degree in Film Production in 2015, specialising on Directing and Documentary Production, from the University for the Creative Arts in United Kingdom. His work has been featured in multiple festivals like the Animasyros Film Festival (Syros, Greece), Herceg Novi Film Festival (Montenegro), the Drama Film Festival (Drama, Greece), Aesthetica Short Film Festival (York, UK) and the RTS Student Television Awards (London, UK). Thomas has been involved with stop motion animation since the age of fourteen, and since 2015 he has produced and directed two stop motion short films Rebetiko and De Les Kouventa (You Don’t Say a Word) which have been embedded in more than 150 countries. His latest work deals with Greek music and culture. He is currently working on Markos: a stop motion animation feature film about the life of the Rembetiko musician Markos Vamvakaris.
