Description:

In The Masterklas titled, "Documentary... two or three things that I know about it", Dimitris Koutsiampasakos will analyze key points in the creation of a documentary film, from its conception to its distribution, through the presentation of specific examples. Issues such as the choice of the subject of a documentary, the importance of research, ways of representing reality, ethical dilemmas, the use of archival material, ways of managing voice over and the technical processing of the documentary as a second chance will be discussed.

 

CV:

Dimitris Koutsiampasakos was born in Armatoliko, Trikala, studied film and television directing at the Pan-Russian State Film Institute of Moscow (V.G.I.K) and is an associate professor at the Film Department, school of fine arts, of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the field of "Directing".
He also teaches the course of Acting in Cinema, at the Higher School of Dramatic Art of the National Theatre of Northern Greece, he has been a teaching professor at the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication of the University of the Aegean and has worked as a director at ERT.
Over a period of three decades he has directed documentaries, series, short and feature films for television and film, while his work has been awarded in Greece and abroad.
