Περίληψη/Synopsis:
Το Goldfish είναι ένα 2D animation για τη βαθιά επιθυμία των ανθρώπων να αγωνιστούν με την κουραστική, καθημερινή ρουτίνα. Ωστόσο, όσο σκληρά κι αν προσπαθούμε, δεν μπορούμε να ξεφύγουμε από το ενυδρείο. Επειδή το ενυδρείο είναι η ίδια η ζωή. Η ταινία αποτελεί μεταφορά της βαθιάς επιθυμίας του ανθρώπου για επιδίωξη της ελευθερίας. Η καθημερινή μας ζωή ίσως μοιάζει με ενυδρείο. Η βούληση, όμως, της διαφυγής από τη ρουτίνα είναι η ελπίδα ότι θα μας κρατήσει ζωντανούς ως ανθρώπινα όντα.
Goldfish is an abstract 2D looping animation about people's deep desire for fighting with tiresome daily routine. However, no matter how hard we try, we still can't escape from the fish tank, because the fish tank is life itself. Goldfish is a metaphor for humans' deep desire for pursuing freedom. Our daily lives maybe like fish tanks. However, the will of escaping from the routine is the hope that keeping us alive as fresh-and-blood human beings.
Βιογραφικό Σκηνοθέτη/Director's Short Bio:
Η Yingzi Wu είναι οπτικός σχεδιαστής που γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στο Hangzhou της Κίνας. Πριν από μερικά χρόνια μετανάστευσε στο Illinois των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών και έπειτα πήγε στη Νέα Υόρκη για να παρακολουθήσει μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα στο School of Visual Arts. Η Yingzi έκανε το προπτυχιακό της στην Κίνα στο Graphic Design. Μέσα από το ενδιαφέρον της για την τέχνη του κινηματογράφου, ανακάλυψε τη μαγεία του συνδυασμού εικόνας και ήχου. Με την επιθυμία να μετασχηματίσει τα έργα τέχνης της σε κινηματογραφικές ταινίες, αποφάσισε να μεταβεί στο Τμήμα Τεχνών Υπολογιστών του MFA στη Σχολή Εικαστικών Τεχνών με έμφαση στο Motion Graphics. Τα έργα της χαρακτηρίζονται από ρεαλισμό, έντονα χρώματα και ικανότητες μοντελισμού.
Yingzi Wu is a visual designer who was born and raised in Hangzhou, China. A few years ago she immigrated to Illinois, United States, and then came to New York to pursue a Masters Degree at School of Visual Arts. Yingzi did her undergraduate in China in Graphic Design. Through her major interests in art film, she discovered the magic of combining of visuals and sound. With the desire to transform her still artwork in to moving images, she decided to go to the MFA Computer Arts Department at School of Visual Arts, with a focus on Motion Graphics. Yingzi's work is realistic and bold. She has strong color and modeling skills, influencing her animation and illustration style. Her package and poster design won two competitions back in China, which were The Seventh National Advertising Design and The Fourteenth Zhejiang Province Multimedia Arts.
