ROBENSON D. EKSIEL

Journalist, film critic. He was born in Istanbul in 1969. In 1987 he began to write amateur articles in the magazine Cine 7 and in 1989 to deal professionally with the subject as editor of the magazine CINEMA, of which he remained a collaborator until the last issue, in 2017. Cultural editor of the newspapers ETHNOS and ETHNOS TIS KYRIAKIS from 1993 and film critic in these publications from 1998 to 2017, he was also a collaborator of magazines of various or cultural material (Athinorama, MAX, Babel, Men, etc.), as well as of the television show "Iconoclasm" (1992-1993). He served as artistic director of the FILM CENTER department of the Greek Communist Party for the period 2007-2009, while during the period 2006-2016 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Panhellenic Union of Film Critics. Member of FIPRESCI, participated in the respective juries at the Toronto (2013), Tromso (2017) and Panorama of European Cinema (2013), the jury of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival (International Competition, 1999), the Drama Short Film Festival (National Competition, 2016) and the Premiere Nights (Short Film, 2017), as well as for three consecutive years (2017-2019), the committee for the nominations for the NewComer Director Awards (European Discovery) the European Film Academy, of which he has been a member since 2018. Since 2017 he has been working with the film website flix,gr, and since 2018 he is the program consultant at the New York Greek Film Festival.

Angelos Kovotsos

Angelos Kovotsos was born in Athens. He studied economics and film. She attended special Script Development seminars at the MEDEA program. His filmography, from 1989 to the present day, includes over 200 documentaries on public television and film. Indicatively, we mention: "Encardia, the stone that dances" (Best Documentary Award of the Berlin Film Festival Hellas Film Box 2016, Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival Award 2012, La Speccia Honorary Distinction 2012), "Come out sun, sit sun" (Ekk Screenplay Award 2003), "David Kennedy, sculpting life" (Ierapetra Festival 2015 Directing Award), "Time for Heroes" (Halkida Festival Award 2014), Many of them have been awarded in Greece and internationally. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Documentary Association.

Nikos Tsagarakis

He studied film theory with a European history at Middlesex University in London. He continued his master's degree in film history at the Department of Philology of the University of Crete, for which he completed the diploma thesis "The cinemas of Heraklion: recording of cinema halls in Heraklion, Crete from 1909 to 2004". In 2017 he obtained a PhD from the same department, with the thesis "The Greek film avant-garde". Since 2004 he lives and works in Heraklion as a film critic in the newspaper Patris and from 2006 to 2020 in the show Kalo Noon of crete TV. Since 2011 he is a member of the Panhellenic Union of Film Critics (P.E.K.K.). Also, since 2004 he has been teaching film history at the Art School of Heraklion and since 2017 at the Higher Drama School "Notos", while he served in the Department of Philology of the University of Crete as a teacher scholar during the academic year 2018-2019.
