Nikoleta Houhoulis is a screenwriter, director and film teacher. He graduated with a BA degree in film studies from New York College in Athens, which was awarded by the University of Greenwich in London. He also holds a degree in English Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. "Athanasia" is her thesis and is based on a short story by Grigoris Xenopoulos.
