Βιογραφικό Σκηνοθέτη/Biography:

Η Δήμητρα Σταυρόπουλος είναι Έλληνίδα σκηνοθέτις. Σπούδασε Αρχαιολογία (BH), Σκηνοθεσία (BA/MA) με διακρίσεις και Ψηφιακές Τέχνες (MA) μέσω υποτροφίας του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση. Το έργο της, Later Aphrodites, έλαβε το βραβείο Goldcrest Post Production στο Fest-New Director's New Films Pitching Forum, Πορτογαλία, 2017. Ενώ, ένα παλαιότερο προσχέδιο του σεναρίου της διακρίθηκε στον πρώτο διαγωνισμό Sciptwriters Guild της Ελλάδας το 2014. Συμμετείχε στο πρόγραμμα ευρωπαϊκής ανάπτυξης Four Corners του MEDIA με την πρώτη ταινία μεγάλου μήκους της, Hector, η οποία εγκρίθηκε επίσης από το πρόγραμμα χρηματοδότησης ανάπτυξης σεναρίων του Ελληνικού Κέντρου Κινηματογράφου στο pasr. Berlinale Sarajevo Talent, 2013. Τώρα δουλεύει πάνω στην επόμενη ταινία μικρού μήκους, Khadija

Demeter Stavropoulos is a Greek filmmaker. She studied Archaeology (BH), Filmmaking (BA/MA) and Digital Arts (MA) through a scholarship by Onassis Foundation. Her project, Later Aphrodites, has received the Goldcrest Post Production (facilities) Award in Fest-New Director’s New Films Pitching Forum, Portugal, 2017. An older draft of her script was distinguished in the first contest of Scriptwriters Guild of Greece, 2014. She participated in Four Corners European development program of MEDIA with her first feature fiction film Hector, which was also approved by the script development funding program of the Greek Film Centre at the pasr. Berlinale Sarajevo Talent, 2013. She is now on development stage of her next short film, Khadija.
