Synopsis:

The dying Sir Isaac Newton recounts the most important events of his life to his faithful friend John Codywitt: the political scene, natural philosophy, religion, enemies, losses and victories that laid the foundations of the myth of the most illustrious natural philosopher of all time.

Director's/Biography Biography:

Panos Anestis is a director and minister. Doctor of Film Studies at the University of the Aegean. He graduated with honors from the Department of History and Philosophy of the University of Athens, while studying Cinema at New York College Athens. Among others, he is the creator of the first Greek trilogy of The History of Science, produced by the Eugenides Foundation: Copernicus, Brahe & Kepler (2011), Galileo: The Battle at the Dawn of Modern Science (2013) and Newton: The Power of God (2016).

Panos Anestis is a filmmaker and PhD Candidate in Film Studies at University of the Aegean. He graduated with excellent grade from the Department of Philosophy & History of Science at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, parallel to studying Film & TV Studies at New York College of Athens. Among other films, he is the co-writer, director and co-producer of the first Greek trilogy of History of Science produced by the non-profit Eugenides Foundation: Copernicus, Brahe & Kepler: Three Great Astronomers (2011), Galileo: Fighting in the Dawn of Modern Science (2013) and Newton: The Force of God (2016).
