Description:

At a time when the active and democratic participation of all should be an integral part of our social coexistence, school, as a learning community, has a central role in educating children in collective processes. active participation and decision-making on issues that concern their entire school life. Speaking firstly about children's rights as legally guaranteed by the International Convention on the Rights of the Child (articles 12 and 15), then we will participate in a virtual school assembly by jointly setting terms and conditions in order to strengthen the concept of democratic education in school and social life.

BIOGRAPHY:

Aspasia Kalisora works as a teacher at the Greek public school. She has completed her postgraduate studies at the Postgraduate Program "Culture and Human Development" of the Department of Philosophy and Social Studies of the University of Crete. Today, as a Doctoral Candidate and having as an academic object of research the antiauthoritarian-democratic education, she continues the research and study of similar educational projects in Greece of the post-political period.

Recently, together with George Moschos (former Children's Ombudsman) they wrote the guide book entitled: "The children's assembly. The first steps to practice democracy. Its aim is to contribute to the consolidation of democracy in schools, through the experiential education of children in democratic values and the role of active citizens, through processes where cooperation, discussion, mutual respect, understanding and improving students' skills for joint decision-making and effort to improve the school environment are promoted, of relationships and school life

As an active member of the pedagogical team "The Skasiarxeio. Experimental palpations for a community school", she participates systematically as coordinator and trainer of the pilot programs of education and implementation of Freinet pedagogy in Public Education.
