Synopsis:
The EU has set itself the target of ending overfishing by 2020. However, the Mediterranean is the most overfished sea on the planet. Silence Pisces traveled to the Mediterranean and recounts how the lives and centuries-old culture of fishermen are in danger of becoming an "endangered species".

Director's/Biography Biography:
Thodoris Chondrogiannis, 28 years old, is a journalist and producer. He graduated from the Law School of Athens in 2015, but dedicated himself to journalism. In 2015 he moved to Germany, where he worked for Offener Kanal. In 2018 she attended Columbia University's Summer Investigative Reporting Course. He has worked for Greek and international media, such as insidestory, Popaganda, VICE, RAI and ZDF. She speaks English, German, Italian and Russian. With the support of iMEdD, he created his original feature-length documentary entitled Sigi Pisces, which deals with the issue of overfishing in the Mediterranean.

Andreas Loukakos was born in 1978 in Athens. He studied architecture at the University of Greenwich and directing at the University of Westminster. He is an award-winning documentary director, co-owner and creative director of "Dotmov". He has worked as a director in television shows Reportage Without Borders, Roads, The Alternative Traveller, Herbs, Secrets and Treatments and Horizon. His documentary on the history of the mental hospital of Leros entitled Leros: Eleftheria Is Therapeutic won the second prize at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in 2004 and was screened at festivals around the world.
Andreas Loukakos was born in 1978 in Athens. He studied architecture at the University of Greenwich and directing at the University of Westminster. He is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and co-owner and creative director at "Dotmov" company. He has worked as a director on several TV shows and his documentary on the history of the Leros psychiatric hospital entitled Leros: Freedom Is Therapeutic won second prize at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in 2004 and was screened at film festivals around the world.
