Synopsis:

The forest of Agia Paraskevi in Vovousa, eastern Zagori, is one of the last sacred forests in Greece. Untouched by the passage of time, it is preserved by the myths of the oral tradition of the village, which are transmitted from generation to generation, constituting the legend of the forest. People say, that if the forest is "disturbed" in any way, the consequences will be devastating. As a result, the forest continues its long-term existence without human intervention, a rare thing in our modern times.
