He began to deal with filmography in 2014 when through a photographic experiment with Nikos Koundouros, the first moving images were created that were transmuted after four years in "Symposium". The first film approach took place after hundreds of hours of discussions and teaching by Nikos Koundouros. This was followed by the shooting of the film "Platypus Trail" which was shot entirely in August 2018 in Australia. For the last two years, Iason Tavlas has been shooting for the new documentary he is preparing titled "The Deposition" and concerns the life of lepers on the island of Spinalonga.
