The Chania Film Festival meets the Rokkas Festivals 2019 and as part of the cinema action in the Squares they co-organize a screening of Dimitris Spyros’ award-winning film The Flea on Sunday, August 4th at 9.30 pm at Rokka Square.
It will be preceded by the screening of the short film of the Alikianos High School My Day.

Elias Seilaidis lives in a mountainous village in the province of Olympia and goes to the last grade of primary school. No one, however, calls him by his name–he is called flea, as is the title of the handwritten newspaper, which he writes and publishes on his own. Elias is treated mockingly by most of his fellow villagers, but he dreams of travelling. The “Flea” helps him break the borders of his village, gives him the wings to fly away…
