The premise of the documentary The Other takes place in a school. In the single-seater elementary school of Patsidero (a rural, mountainous village in the prefecture of Heraklion), where only one Greek attends, while all his other classmates are Albanians.

Director's Biography/Director's Short Bio:
Loukia Rikaki was a director, writer, producer and director of a film festival. She was particularly well known for her documentaries on sensitive social issues such as migration, education and the lives of people with disabilities in Greece. He studied Art History, Film, Graphic Arts and Photography at Dartington College of Arts in England. In 2000 he founded Tricky Trick Films.
Loukia Rikaki was a director, writer, producer and director of Film Festivals. She was especially known for her documentaries about social sensitive issues like immigration, education and the life of people with disabilities in Greece. She studied Art History, Cinema, Graphic Arts and Photography at the Dartington College of Arts in the UK. In 2000 she founded the Tricky Trick Films company.
