Synopsis:
The film talks about the conditions created by the Greek expatriates in this new city of the Black Sea, Odessa, both in the preparation of the Greek Revolution and in the formation of the cultural physiognomy of modern Hellenism in later years. However, the top moment of the city's Hellenism was the establishment in 1814 of the Filiki Eteria, which ideologically prepared the Revolution of 1821.
The film is about the conditions created by the expatriate Greeks in Odessa, the new city of Black Sea, both in the preparation for the Greek Revolution and the shaping of the cultural profile of modern Hellenism in the years that followed. However, the Hellenism highlight in the city was the establishment of the Filiki Eteria in 1814, which prepared ideologically the Revolution of 1821.
Director's Biography/Director's Short Bio:
Stamatis Tsarouchas is a writer, director and producer of audiovisual works. He studied Cinema at the school of Lykourgos Stavrakos in Athens and after his graduation he began to work continuously, in the field of Film, Television and Theatre. He has produced, written and directed seven fiction films in co-production with the Greek Film Center, ERT and private producers. But his great love is documentary films. He has written the scripts and directed more than 200 documentaries for public television and for the last five years he has been working exclusively with Cosmote History, Cosmote TV, in documentary films, such as The Great Greek Musicians, The Roads of Freedom, etc. that won large audiences. Many of his films and documentaries have been awarded and have received honorary distinctions in festivals and in the institution of the State Quality Awards.

Many of his films and documentaries have been honored and awarded in Festivals and the State Quality Awards.
