In 1963, the Swedish humanitarian organization IM founded in Vlasti, a mountain village in the prefecture of Kozani, a model weaving center. For twenty-five years this intercultural project will support the women of the community, but also this gifted place that has been severely tested by wars, poverty and abandonment.
Dimitris Koutsiampasakos
Dimitris Koutsiampasakos is a Greek director, writer and independent producer, known for his documentaries, series, short and feature films. He was born in 1967 and studied film and television directing at the Pan-Russian Moscow State Film Institute (V.G.I.K.
Since 2000 he has been teaching the course of Acting in Cinema in Drama Schools, including the Higher School of Dramatic Art of the National Theatre of Northern Greece.
He was a teaching professor at the University of the Aegean, at the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication as well as at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, at the Department of Cinematography. His work has received criticism and many national and international awards
