Synopsis:
Patients who are hospitalized, after serious accidents, in the Physical Rehabilitation Clinic of KAT, try to get back on their feet... or at least regain their autonomy. Following their agonizing struggle, the film explores one of the key dilemmas of human existence: hope or acceptance.
After serious accidents that turned their lives upside down, patients of the rehabilitation department of an Athenian trauma hospital struggle to walk again... or at least return to independent living. Torn between hope and acceptance, they offer us a glimpse into depths of the human condition.
Director's/Biography Biography:
Marco Gastine is a director and producer. He was born in Paris. He has been living and working in Greece since 1978. He studied Architecture in Paris and Directing in Athens. In 2003 he founded his own production company, Minimal Films, which undertook the production of almost all his films since then and some of the films of the most talented Greek documentary filmmakers as well as co-productions abroad. He teaches documentary in international seminars (MFI, StoryDoc) and production at the Stavrakos School. He is the founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Documentary Association.
