Veronica is a talented soprano living in Poland, while Veronica, who looks like her twin sister, has grown up in France and is also involved in music. They are unaware of each other's existence, but share the same passion for music and an undefined impression that they are "not alone". They sense each other on a metaphysical level, and Veronica, possessed by a sense of unfinishedness, searches for her complementary part in a process of inner search marked by Veronica's death.
