Laboratory Description:

Composer and pianist Giorgos Saltaris meets students on a magical journey into the world of film music. How do we write music for a film? This question is at the core of the experiential workshop of Giorgos Saltaris. Films and Music intertwine in a unique journey.

Animator's Biography

Giorgos Saltaris is a composer and pianist with a long career in the field of music. He has collaborated with great singers and musicians. In recent years he lives, works in the creations in Chania. An important part of his occupation is music teaching. He is a contributor to the Chania Film Festival and since 2017 he has been presenting the Concerto for Piano and Silent Cinema. A production of the Festival in which Giorgos Saltaris invests musically, live on stage, films of silent cinema.

Master classes and workshops can accept specific numbers of people and will be on a first come, first served basis based on the registration form.
