Director's/Biography Biography:

Giannis Bletas was born and raised in Kozani. He is a graduate of Greek Literature from the University of Crete in Rethymno, as well as from the Drama School of the Karolos Koun Art Theatre. She has attended seminars on theatrical and creative writing. In 2015 he participated in the show I want a country, which was presented at the Athens Festival. In 2017 he participated in the play The Step of the Cat of the Blue Noel group (Dimitris Rontiris Theatre, Plaka), which he wrote himself. In the same year he directed the play Store 999 at two festivals of new theatre groups. Along with his studies, acting and writing plays, he began his involvement with cinema. In 2016, his first short film, titled The Umbrella. The following year, the films followed. The Journey (3 awards), Balm as well as Gemista, the film that has already been honored with 9 awards in Greece and abroad: among others, "Young Directors' Award" (Athens International Digital Film Festival, 2018), Melbourne City Independent Film Festival 2018, Hollywood Moving Pictures Film Festival 2018). This year, he completed two more short films, Armatoloi and Tama. He has also directed two music video clips and various commercials.

The following year he created the films The Journey (3 awards), Balsamo and Salted, the film that has already been honored with 9 awards in Greece and abroad: among others, "Young Directors" (2018), Melbourne City Independent Film Festival 2018, Hollywood Moving Pictures Film Festival 2018. This year, he has completed two more short films, the Armatoloi and Tama. He has also directed two music video clips and several commercial spots.
