Synopsis:

Once, before 1975 and before Lebanon changed forever, there was a time when this small country was considered the jewel of the Middle East and a safe haven for those who ran to escape the cruelty of war or who were looking to find some ground to settle and build their future there. In 1922, thousands of Greek refugees managed to reach the coast of Beirut. Many of them fled Turkey, while others came on foot along with the Armenians of Izmir and Alexandretta. The community settled in Beirut, Tripoli and other Lebanese cities and began to build their own projects, factories and their own clubs. Their history has not been revealed to date. George Eid, an experienced Lebanese journalist and grandson of a Greek refugee from Izmir, Paul Mazitzis, decided to follow the path of memories between Lebanon and Greece. Good morning from Beirut, is a journey that will take us back in time to discover the history of a community that was once large and thriving.
