Περίληψη/Synopsis:
Ένας άντρας συναντά μια κοπέλα σε μια αποβάθρα του λιμανιού του Πειραιά. Ενώ ψάχνουν για ταξί, αποφασίζουν να κάνουν ότι γνωρίζονται για να μοιραστούν το κόστος της διαδρομής. Από τη στιγμή όμως που μπαίνουν στο ταξί, ο οδηγός αποκαλύπτει στον άντρα ότι όντως γνωρίζονται και ότι έχουν κοινό παρελθόν.
The unexpected encounter of two strangers and their agreement while waiting for a cab to share the cost of the ride, becomes the motive for the anatomy of a relationship. From the moment they enter the taxi, the driver reveals that they know each other and they have a common past, leading the couple to the landscapes of desire.
Βιογραφικό Σκηνοθέτη/Biography:
Ο Μανώλης Μαυρής γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1987. Σπούδασε γραφιστική και animation και πήρε Master στο Central Saint Martins του Λονδίνου στην οπτική επικοινωνία. Το 2014 ολοκλήρωσε την πρώτη του μικρού μήκους ταινία Βlue Τrain, η οποία προβλήθηκε σε φεστιβαλ στην Ευρώπη και στην Αμερική. Το Maneki Neko έκανε διεθνή πρεμιέρα στο 61 BFI London Film Festival και έχει κερδίσει βραβεία σε Ελλάδα και Αμερική.
Manolis Mavris was born in Athens in 1987. He studied graphic design and in 2013 he completed his Master in visual communication at Central Saint Martins college in London. In 2014 he completed his first short film Blue Train which was screened in festivals both in USA and Europe. Maneki Neko made its International premier at 61st BFI London Film Festival and has already won awards in Greece and USA.
