Synopsis:

PRIMAS, is an evocative portrait of two cousins, Rocío and Aldana, Argentine teenagers, who after degrading acts of violence that interrupted their childhood, will be freed from the shadows of the past. Travelling to Argentina and Montreal, the girls have reached an age that has apocalyptic experiences in their daily lives. Dance lessons, mimes, theatre, circus and visual arts. They express through their bodies, what can only be revealed by their imagination, their unique perspective and their impenetrable endurance.

Director's/Biography Biography:

Laura Bari is from Argentina, a self-taught filmmaker, currently residing in Montreal. ANTOINE (2009), her first feature film, about the fictional life of a blind boy, was screened at 30 festivals around the world and won 15 awards. Ariel's second film (2013) talks about a man who builds his identity from scratch after a terrible accident. PRIMAS concludes her trilogy, revealing once again the power of imagination, through her unique artistic approach. Bari pushes the boundaries between the real and the unreal.
