The 20th edition of the Très Court International Very Short Film Festival, which was presented on Monday, June 4, simultaneously throughout Crete (5 cities) by the Chania Film Festival, was completed with great success. More than 500 spectators watched the Festival’s films at the same time, participating in a global film experience along with 70 other cities in 27 countries.
The Très Court has been organized for the last 3 years in Greece by the Chania International Film Festival simultaneously in Chania, Rethymno, Heraklion, Agios Nikolaos and Sitia. As it is a competition festival, the audience had the opportunity to vote for the best film. This is how they determine, along with the other 70 cities from all over the world, the winner of the Audience Award!
The Cretan audience showed their preference for films with humor but also with a thoughtful mood for the modern way of life.
Below, the first three films as highlighted in the vote of each city:
Chania: 1. Happiness, 2. I’m Shy, 3. Big Data
Rethymno: 1. Happiness, 2. Aria of Mygoula, 3. I’m Shy
Heraklion: 1. The Aria of Mygoula, 2. Happiness & I’m Shy (tie), 3. Big Data
St. Nicholas: 1. Happiness, 2. I’m Shy, 3. Mygoula’s Aria
Sitia: 1. I am Shy, 2. Happiness, 3. The Legend of the Goat
The Audience Award as it will result from the global vote will be announced on June 22, 2018 at
