Film Workshops and support for film production for the educational community by the Chania Film Festival for the school year 2018-2019
Within the framework of its educational programs, the Chania International Film Festival implements for yet another school year the actions cine Lessons and True Stories / CreDoc.
The program includes a) a cycle of theoretical – educational meetings b) the support and production of films (documentary, fiction, animation) by the school units.
The program will have the scientific supervision of collaborating professionals in the field of education and film. It will last throughout the school year 2018 – 2019 and the meetings will take place in the afternoon and on weekends.
A prerequisite for the support of film production is the attendance of the theoretical part of the program.
The selection of the films, which will support their production, will be made after evaluation of the proposed scenarios and the implementation teams.
The number of people who can attend the program is limited, as is the number of films that their production will be supported. For this reason, a strict order of priority will be followed.
The films that will be produced will be presented at the 7th Chania International Film Festival in October 2019.
The educational activity cine Lessons and the Chania Film Festival are under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Culture.
Participation in all actions is free of any monetary price.
DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR 2018-2019, SPECIAL WEIGHT WILL BE GIVEN TO THE PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTARIES (action True Stories / CReDoc) WHICH WILL BE SOUGHT TO BE CONNECTED WITH LOCAL HISTORY AND ORAL TESTIMONIES
