Marianna Economou honored with her presence the 7th Chania International Film Festival. Her film “When Wagner met the tomatoes” will represent Greece at the Oscars for international film.
Important films as well as important figures of cinema and politics space, visited the fifth day of the 7th Chania International Film Festival which takes place at the Cultural Center of Chania (23 October – 2 November).
On Sunday (27/10) the evening aired the Oscar-nominated for best foreign language film (documentary) “When Wagner met the tomatoes” by the creator Marianna Economou, who in fact, he was at the Chania Film Festival. The concrete movie will represent Greece this year in the process of claiming the Oscars International Feature Film.
Marianna Economou stressed that “The Chania Film Festival is a excellent and organized effort of a provincial city that loves the Cinema. I’m glad he’s taken a lot of steps forward and it’s been great my desire to be in Chania”.
Also the short film “Vourvourou” was screened, in which the protagonist is 10-year-old Andreas Sideris. In fact, the film was awarded a few days ago as the best short film at the Greek Film Festival in San Francisco.
Finally, the Adult Masterclasses continued dynamically on Sunday 27/10. “Freinet’s pedagogy. Theoretical and practical approach”, with Animators Niki Kokkinoplitis, educator and Aspasia Kalisora, educator. Also, “The Digital Body and the Audiovisual Narration”, with Animator Angelos Floros, assistant professor of the Ionian University.
