Knowing European and International recognition, the Chania Film Festival achieved, in the immediately preceding period, the registration of the two institutions for Children’s and Youth Cinema, ecfa European Children’s Film Association and CIFEJ – The International Centre of Films for Children and Young People, as well as and the European Documentary Network EDN – European Documentary Network, while in recognition of the quality of the event, it won the European Quality Label EFFE label Festival 2019-2020.
The above participations and synergies, apart from the recognition of the Chania Film Festival, will contribute decisively to the extroversion and developmental character of the event, while at the same time they will bring the Festival and its actions closer to international events, contributing to the promotion of Chania and the whole of Crete.
ECFA European Children’s Film Association
The European Children’s Film Association is an organisation for all those interested in high-quality films for children and young people: filmmakers, producers, advertisers, distributors, exhibitors, tv programmers, festival organisers and film trainers, etc. ECFA has more than 125 members, consisting of companies and organisations from 36 different countries.
EDN – European Documentary Network
The European Documentary Network is a a global network for professionals working with documentaries and television. About 1000 members from more than 60 countries are members of the EDN.
CIFEJ – The International Centre of Films for Children and Young People
CIFEJ is an organization that operates as a global network of audiovisual media professionals working for children and young people. The main objective of CIFEJ is to promote the production of films and audiovisual media that are culturally diverse, artistic, educational, informative and at the same time entertaining. specially designed for children and young people.
